A customer has recently had a bad experience with bottled water which was contaminated and ruined the boiler of his autoclave.
It is always advisable to check what you are putting into your machines by using a hand-held water quality meter to check the ppm before putting it into the machine. It can be an equally valuable exercise for those producing steam distilled water too. It is very irritating to have the ‘water quality not acceptable’ or ‘bad water’ message appear and then to have to drain and flush the tank. A simple dip test beforehand takes only a second or two which can save a lot more time – and sometimes a lot of money!
